Dear World, Here We Go!
The World Experience Tour, which is a tradition of CDS, gives us a chance to learn about the historical sites we visit every year. This year’s WET, in particular, introduced brand new places, such as Japan.
The ninth graders had a very tiring yet interesting trip to Xi’an. After their arrival, they quickly moved to the Buddhist Cien temple and later visited the Stele forest and the Great Mosque of Xi’an, located in the Muslim Street. On their second day, the freshmen went to the Banpo Museum, the Huaqing Pond, and the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang. For their dinner, the 9th graders went back to the Muslim Street, where the were allowed to freely roam around and purchase their own dinner. On their third day, they spent most of the day climbing Mount Hua, which provided both exercise and awe in exchange for their stamina.
