Today, I want to introduce Korean-style barbeque restaurant, called Mong Don. This restaurant gets a lot of attention from people in Cheongna for offering good quality pork and beef. It is near Homeplus mall, and its official address is 22, Jungbong-daero 586beon-gil, Seo-gu, Incheon, Korea. It is located at a center of downtown, a perfect location to visit after spending a good catch-up time with your friend.
When I entered the restaurant, the smell of beef softly touched my nose and stimulated my empty stomach. The ambient temperature inside the restaurant was perfect, I could notice that they put a lot effort to maintain the optimum temperature. Normally it is challenging to correctly control temperature because of the heat from food, especially for a barbeque restaurant. Also, the interior of the restaurant was decorated in a modern-style designs, giving a more comfortable environment to eat.
Mong Don Korean-style barbeque restaurant provides variety of meats in Korean-style barbeque dishes, and there are tons of foods which are perfect to eat alongside, such as Kimchi soup, Soybean soup, cold noodle, and noodle with anchovy broth. However, if you are not too eager to eat meat, you can order Budae Jigae (Spicy sausage stew) too.
The food that I ordered was Hanu (Korean native cattle) sirloin, which is the main menu of the restaurant. Mong Don restaurant provide a differentiated service, which is the way eat beef. Unlike other Korean-style barbecue restaurant, we ate beef with cheese. At first I expected it to be too greasy, but it was not. The meat extract and cheese made a special harmony of taste, and it melted in my mouth as I chew it. The cold noodle and noodle with anchovy broth is also a good combination with it, refreshing my mouth and stomach.
In conclusion, if I rate Mong Don Korean-style barbeque restaurant, I will give 4 out of 5. The interior design and quality of beef and noodles were perfect, the combination of cheese and beef was also a brilliant idea. However, the price can be a bit hefty for young students.
